Every ant in Build An Ant Empire hatches from eggs bought from the Ant Queen. Rarity is the fastest gauge of an ant's food production, and some ants carry Mutations that multiply their efficiency even further. This page is the master index for the full ant list, kept in sync with the tier list.

Rarity determines base food output. Mutations and Jelly stack on top of it.

How Ants Work
Rolling ants: interact with the Ant Queen to roll eggs. Rolling is free, but buying the hatched ant costs Cash, so always keep Cash in reserve.
Placing ants: assign each ant to an empty colony slot. You start with one slot; more slots cost Cash and grow in price.
Food production: placed ants generate food boxes at the collection station. Higher rarity and Mutations raise the value of that food.
The Index: discovering new ants and Mutations fills the Index and unlocks one-time milestone rewards — claim them as you hit each threshold.
